Welcome to
Thorpepark Academy

At Thorpepark we celebrate the diversity of all children and cultures.

Our academy is a welcoming, happy, caring place where we promote spiritual, moral, social, and cultural capital. We work hard to ensure that our children enjoy learning, achieve their potential and appreciate the differences that make us all unique’.

We believe that our children deserve a curriculum that is inspiring, creative and provides the opportunities to achieve their full potential. Our goal is to make them lifelong learners and to prepare them well for the next stage in their learning journey.

Our motto ‘Aiming High’ reflects the standards we expect for all learners. We undertake this by providing a learning framework that reflects the National Curriculum and is broad, balanced and meets the needs of all learners.

We encourage enterprise in our curriculum to prepare pupils for the world of work, and we are proud of the many effective partnerships that we share not only in the local community but also in the city of Hull and across the region.

Parents, carers, and everyone in the local community are invited to be part of our academy and to share in our mission to TELL THE WORLD.

Project: We Are Orchard Park

The We Are Orchard Park Project set out to explore themes of home, belonging and community pride through creative engagement with local people of different generations. With a focus on young people and older residents, the project delivered a series of creative sessions in schools and care homes across Orchard Park estate, working closely with artists Chiedu Oraka, Joe Sheehan, Harriet Jones, and other local collaborators.

The project sparked conversations around personal safety, pride of place and community care, celebrating what it means to grow up and grow older in Orchard Park. Through 20 creative sessions and three original films, the project provided people with space to reflect on their lived experiences and share what ‘home’ means to them.

We are so proud of our Year 4s this week! They've smashed their OUMTC check! Some brilliant scores and some even better progress! Well done everyone!

Part of Year 6 Science is to look at the function of hearts! Today the children examined some animal hearts to see the different veins, arteries and chambers!

We are raising money for Thorpepark Academy - Beanstalks SEND Unit, a specialist provision that supports children with additional needs to grow, learn and thrive in a nurturing environment.

On Saturday 9th May 2026, To support this incredible unit, ...staff and friends from Thorpepark Academy are taking on a sponsored walk from Sutton to Hornsea and back - pushing themselves every step of the way for a cause that means so much to us.

All funds raised will go directly towards equipment and toys for the Beanstalks SEND Unit. These resources will help create engaging, safe and stimulating outdoor spaces where children can develop physically, socially, and emotionally through play.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference for the children we support. Thank-you so much for your generosity and for cheering us on during our walk!

This half term year 3 are learning all about Ancient Egypt! We have started our topic learning about events in Ancient Egypt and created a timeline of key moments!
