Director of Finance

Full-time annum AYR

£52,508 – £59 498 per annum

Venn Academy Trust are seeking an exceptional candidate to appoint as our Director of Finance and to join the Trust Executive Team of our forward-­-thinking multi-­-academy trust.

The successful candidate will preferably have previous education experience, and will  be  suitably  qualified,  highly  motivated,  positive,  emotionally  intelligent  and enthusiastic about contributing to our growing organisation.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • To foster and implement strategy and to resource and deliver the organisation’s strategic objectives;
  • To demonstrate practical, theoretical and procedural knowledge across all disciplines of budget setting, financial management, administration and premises;
  • To influence all material business decisions to ensure immediate and longer term implications, opportunities and risks are fully considered, and alignment with the organisation’s financial strategy;
  • To lead the promotion and delivery by the whole organisation of good financial management in order public money is safeguarded at all  times  and  used appropriately, economically, efficiently and effectively.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they have strong, persuasive, influencing   and   interpersonal   skills   with   the   ability   to communicate clearly and confidently. They will need to be in receipt of a professional finance or finance related qualification at graduate level (i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, MAAT or equivalent). Excellent strategic planning skills and the ability to successfully strategically manage financial resources.

This role will be based initially in Bridgeview Special School which is ideally located on the M62/A63 corridor.
